In-House Name Changes
Vanier offers an in-house name change option for trans or non-binary students, or for reasons involving personal safety, which changes their name on Omnivox and LEA. Please note that this change is only internal and it is not for nickname preferences. Students may also use this form to update the college of a legal name or gender change (documentation required).

Join Vanier Student Life's UMBRELLA group! What is it? A group for Vanier's 2SLGBTQIA+ students to meet each other & be involved in student life on-campus. What does it involve? Social gatherings Group discussions Workshops Outreach and celebration events & activities on-campus (ex: Sashay Vanier Drag Show) Working with Vanier Student Life, Vanier Student Services, the VCSA, and Vanier's Open Door Network Providing suggestions and feedback to make Vanier a safer and more welcoming place for our community Anything else you'd like to see or do! (*There may be opportunities to be active listeners and to help each other but keep in mind that this is not a support/therapy group.) When & where? We'll schedule periodic meet-ups on-campus and/or online (and maybe some off-campus field-trips if possible!). We will use a Lea classroom for sharing information, scheduling events/activities, and general communication. Other ways can be explored as a group later such as Discord or Teams. Please note that the information shared in this form will only be seen by Kristen from Vanier Student Life.
